Hey Stage Moms!
Thank you again for volunteering! With graduations and kids still away for college, we had a lot less former dancers/former parents available this year. You totally came through, and the dancers experience will be amazing because of YOU. Thank you!
If you’re volunteering tonight, please be in your dressing room by 5:00 so you are all set by the time dancers arrive at 5:15. If you’re volunteering tomorrow, please be in your dressing room by 1:00 so you are all set by the time the dancers arrive at 1:15. Your paper bag and stage mom aprons will be in your room.
I want to clarify the purpose of the lanyards since they’re new:
- Dancers do NOT need to wear the lanyard all night. If you want help remembering their names, you can keep it on them when they aren’t on stage. If you don’t need help remembering names, you don’t need to fumble with them at all!
- It has a 6 digit code on it that matches the code their parent should have received via text/email. This code is also listed on your emergency contact sheet though, so you don’t have to track down the lanyard during pick up. You’ll just match those codes during pick up OR the parent can tell you the last 4 digits of the phone number we have since that’s also on the emergency contact sheet. Whatever is most simple for you is what we want you to do.
- The color of the lanyard should match the color they stand on for the group dance. Color coordination helps me, so if it helps you too, great! Again, if you don’t need the reminder, you don’t need to fumble with them at all 🙂
Dressing Room Activities for the little ones:
The goal is to help them stay calm instead of getting antsy 🙂
Music Room:
- We have a box of small coloring books and crayons.
- We’ll also try to get a projector set up in the Music Room. If it works, we’ll show Angelina Ballerina so they are inspired before they head on stage! This is new, but we’ll try it and see how it goes!
- If there’s anything else you’d like to bring, please just make sure it isn’t messy 🙂
Classroom A:
- We have a box of small coloring books and crayons.
- We also have a long roll of white paper so they can color together if they’d like to. Maybe they want to make a “thank you” banner for their teacher(s)!
- We have several card games they can play.
- If there’s anything else you’d like to bring, please just make sure it isn’t messy.
Music Room Dressing Room Manager: Miss Frankie
- Miss Gabby will be the stage manager which means she’ll tell you when it’s time to start going backstage. Miss Frankie will be the dressing room manager which means she’ll be in the room with you during the show to make sure you hear Miss Gabby call the dances. They will have a megaphone so please listen for them.
Questions? Let us know!!
You’re the best, thank you so much!

Hello Stage Moms and Backstage workers! We couldn’t do this without you, so thank you so much for your time this week!
Please come up to the stage each time your class is on stage during rehearsals so you can practice lining them up and so the kids have extra opportunities to get familiar with you. We want them to know who to look for, stay with and listen to. This is helpful for both you and them!
Please watch the video linked here to see what you’ll be provided, and what to do with it
Please do not provide any snacks to your dancers unless you have confirmed with every parent that the snack is okay for their child to have. We want to be mindful of food allergies.
Arrival time for Friday Stage Moms is 5:00 pm
Arrival time for Saturday Stage Moms is 1:00 pm
Thank you!
