Hello dance parents!
Some announcements for you as we continue into the second half of our dance season…
1) Upcoming holiday closures: Feb 16, April 6-9 and May 25. As a reminder, Annual Tuition is based on receiving at least 36 lessons in the entire dance year, but for your convenience, may be paid in monthly installments. No charges will be added for months with extra class days and no refunds will be given for months with fewer class days.
2) Picture Day: Sunday, May 17th. Each class will have a scheduled time block throughout that day. We’ll get the schedule out to you at least 2 months prior.
3) Summer Recital Dates: Rehearsals are May 27-28. Staging rehearsal is May 27th, Dress Rehearsal is May 28th. Specific times will be assigned for each class and will be announced at least 2 months prior. Both are extremely important for dancer comfort and success. Recitals are Friday, May 29 at 6:00 pm and Saturday, May 30 at 2:00 pm. All dancers are in both performances and all dances are performed in both shows.
4) Costumes: Now that recital dates are confirmed, we get to start the costume ordering process! We’ll show classes and parents their costumes, measure all dancers, and add charges to accounts. Some costumes are made to order and take a few months to arrive, so we need to order in February. At this time, the costume payment due date is February 20th.
Combo classes (ex: ballet+tap, jazz+tap, jazz+hip hop) will have TWO costumes because they’ll be performing TWO dances. Other classes (ballet, contemporary, hip hop) will have ONE costume because they’ll be performing ONE dance. Costume prices typically range from $80-$100 depending on size and style–adult sizes are always more expensive than child sizes.
